First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Connor Group.
Sales Consultant
The interview process was pretty long and took a lot of time. There was email communication, phone calls, and virtual parts of the interview. The last stage was like a "day in the life" simulation.
- How do you manage and prioritize your daily tasks?
Sales Specialist
The interview process was a bit long, but could be shorter if you're available. It included 4 short phone/video calls and a full day at a property with another quick video call during that day. The recruiter usually replied within an hour after an interview to set up the next step. First, a 10-minute call with the recruiter about the job. Second, a personality test and interview with another recruiter, with standard questions. Third, a video interview at a nearby property with a different recruiter, meant to be 30 mins but took about 20, again with standard questions. Fourth, another video interview at the same property with a different recruiter/trainer, asking the same questions as before. The fifth round was a full day (9 am to 6 pm) in the field with the property manager, who was also a corporate trainer. Some people didn't like this part, but I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great way to see if the job is a good fit. I saw some of their procedures, the bonus and benefit plans, and toured an apartment. The staff were knowledgeable, driven (in a good way), and happy to answer questions. During the day, I had another video interview with the regional manager, who made the final offer decision. Honestly, all the interviews had the same questions, which helped me refine my answers.
- Can you introduce yourself, covering both personal and professional aspects?
- Describe your biggest achievements in sales.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses according to a boss?
Sales Specialist
The process kicked off with a screening call to discuss the role, get insights into your background, and address any queries. Next, there was a straightforward phone interview. Following that, an in-person interview was scheduled. My interaction with Zach was incredibly supportive throughout. The final step involved a day in the field, offering a genuine glimpse into the company culture and assessing potential fit. The offer came the following morning, which I gladly accepted!
- Would you prefer recognition for your hard work or for your tenure at a company?
- What drives you, and do you enjoy competition?
- Describe your ideal job.
