First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Community.
Brand Coordinator
The entire process involved 5 calls, starting with an initial chat with HR. After that, I met with the supervisors and the VP of the marketing team. All interviews were virtual and lasted between 15 to 30 minutes. It was pretty relaxed because everyone was really friendly and nice. All in all, it was a great interview experience!
- Can you discuss your past work experience?
Accountant
Recruiter reached out. I had one interview with the recruiter then another one with an accounts team representative. Never heard back from anyone and communication was terrible. I stopped following up after they had a recruiting agency reach out to me for the same exact role, which means communication internally and externally is not great.
- Tell me about a challenging client situation you faced and how you resolved it.
Strategist
I went through 5 rounds (FIVE!!). First, I spoke to HR over the phone. Then, I had a Skype call with the Head of Strategy. We actually had two meetings because he was double-booked for our first one and could only spare 30 minutes. After that, I met the Strategy Director for coffee in NYC. Then, HR called me again. Finally, I spoke to the Account Director at a WeWork office. Post-interviews, HR contacted me a few times to check my continued interest and provided good feedback, but then they went silent. About a month later, HR texted me to say they were actually looking to hire a Strategy Director and that I wasn't a fit. What a massive waste of time for everyone involved.
- Can you tell me about your professional history?
- What has been your greatest challenge?
- What's your method for developing strategy?
Website Manager
The process was very clear. They gave me the information I needed during the interview. Everyone was friendly, and they answered all my questions. It was a very positive experience overall. The steps after the interview went by really fast. They were always attentive.
- Tell me about your past work experience.
- What are your goals for your career?
- What salary are you looking for?
