I interviewed with three managing directors and a portfolio manager. It wasn't very technical, and I think they were mainly assessing if I'd be a good fit for the team and could get along with everyone.

The interview was mostly a 20-minute lecture about how exclusive the firm is and the proper interview etiquette if I were to make it past the screening call to the first interview: Make sure I really want the job so I'm not just wasting their time. Dress professionally even though it's a virtual interview. Be present and don't take too many notes (after all, that's how the last candidate lost the opportunity). And ask good questions at the end.

Standard interview process. The interviewers were condescending. At the end, they mentioned that if there are any changes on your end, you should let them know so they don't consider you for the role. They also won't reach out to you. The interviewers didn't even know what a series 9/10 is. 🤯 They scheduled each 30-minute segment on 2 different days instead of back-to-back interviews, which is inconvenient as we have jobs to do. Horrible process, and they treat candidates with disrespect.

The first interview was a recruiter call to discuss my background and fit for the role. The second interview was with my direct supervisor, lasting about 30-60 minutes, covering general job questions and allowing me to ask questions. The final interview involved meeting my potential manager, a future coworker, and a firm partner, with a mix of group and individual discussions focusing on general topics, given my limited prior experience.
