Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Cigna Group.
Intern
The screening was pretty standard and easy, lasting 15 minutes or less. They asked basic questions like 'Tell me about yourself' and 'Why Cigna'. I'm not sure what they were looking for to eliminate candidates since I wasn't selected to move forward.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What's your motivation for applying to Cigna?
Intern
First, you'll interview with two team members who want to learn about your background, resume, and achievements. Then, you'll have an interview with two Seniors from the team to discuss your background, projects, and technical skills. Finally, you'll interview with the hiring manager.
- Tell me about your background
- Tell me about your resume
- Tell me about your achievements
Intern
It was a two-stage process. The first interview was okay, with two friendly interviewers. The second round was quite extensive and involved a long session to showcase the company culture and interact with senior staff. It included a behavioral component but surprisingly no technical assessment. A notable aspect was that the interviewers were not recruiters but individuals who had already secured full-time positions within the same program.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced a conflict and how you dealt with it?
- Share an experience where you took the lead in a team setting.
- Walk me through your resume.
