Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
Intern
I applied online and then got an interview pretty quickly. They asked me about my background, what I like about work, and my skills. The person interviewing me was nice and told me what the internship would be like.
- What is your work process like?
Intern
I had a 30 minute phone interview and they got back to me about 1-2 weeks later. It was mostly typical interview questions, no technical stuff. They also asked some questions about the industry related to the internship, but it felt more like a get-to-know-you conversation.
- Describe a time you encountered a conflict and how you resolved it.
- Can you share an experience of how you managed a period when you had a lot on your plate?
- Can you tell me about a conflict you experienced and how you handled it?
Intern
I had one interview with my potential boss. It felt a bit disorganized, and I got the impression she was looking for a very specific kind of person, and I didn't really fit that mold.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a significant challenge?
