I applied on LinkedIn and got a reply in a few days. Then I was sent a bunch of tests, not really in order. The first one had 3 or 4 questions each, like numerical, verbal, and diagrammatic. They were quick, like 30-40 seconds per question. Then there were two psychometric tests about Values and Motivations. After that, I had two phone screens. Finally, I was invited to an assessment center for which I had to prepare a business case presentation.

The entire interview journey spanned about 3 weeks and involved thorough evaluations like psychometric tests, a check for cultural and behavioral alignment, a phone call, a behavioral insight interview, and a concluding presentation. I had the chance to meet many of the team members when I visited their office. It felt like they really prioritized my interview and took significant time to understand me from various perspectives. They encouraged me to be my authentic self, and I felt at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process. They provided insights into ongoing projects and addressed all my questions comprehensively. At each step, I was given adequate preparation time, and they were accommodating with scheduling given my limited availability. Following each stage, I felt more connected to the company and its values, sensing they were genuinely embodied, which is quite rare! In sum, the experience was professional yet remarkably human and refreshing.

It was a really strange interview process. First, I had a phone call that went fine. Then, I did two tests: one for personality and one for how smart I am. I waited for weeks after finishing them and finally got to the last interview stage only after I reached out to them. The in-person interview included a behavioral interview, a presentation I had to prepare, and a 'show and tell' segment. Seriously? But I went through with it and did well in the interview, even getting complimented several times. After they said they'd let me know their decision within days, I heard nothing. Eventually, someone called and told me I didn't get the job because my personality wasn't a good fit for the team and I didn't make enough eye contact during my presentation. Is this how you give feedback to clients as a people analytics consulting team? If so, no thanks. And the personality fit excuse makes me suspect some bias might have been involved, and they just used that as a reason.
