This whole interview thing took like 5 weeks. First, I talked to three people about the ABM job, but then they were like, we actually want you to interview for a different role. I talked to the same person again, but she totally forgot who I was. After 3 weeks, they finally emailed me saying I didn't have enough experience.

I had several calls with a recruiter over two months, followed by two phone interviews. They covered my travel expenses (mileage or flight) and hotel for the in-person interview. I met with three people and had a lunch meeting with another. Everyone was pleasant, but the process was quite lengthy. I was really interested in the job, but their offer matched my current salary ($50k) and only included $2k for relocation, despite it being out of state. We couldn't agree, and I suspect the recruiter didn't properly manage expectations. The salary was significantly below market rates. I found another job that pays 25% more.

Behavioral Case

The initial phone interview was brief, about 15-20 minutes and unplanned, which then led to an in-person interview. In the in-person interview, I met with three managers simultaneously for about two hours. The first hour involved discussing my resume and experience, along with typical interview questions and an overview of the job duties. The second hour was more of a role-play scenario where they presented situations to gauge my reactions.

The hiring process felt long, but the recruiter kept me in the loop. They gave me good info on who I'd talk to and what to expect. I had two phone calls and then an in-person interview that lasted about 5 hours. During the onsite, I did a skills and personality test. I got the offer a week after.

The Buntin Group Interview Questions

Quoted word for word from The Buntin Group interview reports.

They keep asking you why you're the best for the position over the rest, and keep asking and asking until you say the right thing, as if you've said something wrong about your skills. It's like a test to see if you can read their mind, I guess?
