Had 4 rounds of interviews. First with the hiring manager, then the team, then the hiring manager again, and lastly the coworker team. Got good feedback all the way through. They were talking about extending an offer, asking about start dates, and then suddenly went silent. Nobody's returning calls or emails. The hiring manager gave me his personal number and then just started ghosting me.

Applied online. A couple of weeks later, they got in touch to set up a first interview. It was supposed to be 30 minutes, but it ended up being an hour. This interview was pretty standard and was with someone I'd be working with. They asked about my background, how I collaborate in teams and when working remotely, and some challenges I've faced. They also gave me a rundown of the role. Things seemed to go well, and I was asked to set up a second interview with more team members. This second one was strange. I could barely hear the main interviewer, and I had to really strain to understand them. I had to ask them to repeat themselves a lot. The other interviewer showed up right at the end and didn't ask me anything. Neither of them asked much about my experience; it was mostly me asking them questions. Also, they seemed to have a totally different idea of the job than what was shared in the first interview. After that, they just stopped responding. It all felt super unprofessional.

Applied in mid-summer and had to complete a Predictive Index Inventory test. If your score isn't in their acceptable range, you don't get an interview. Had an initial interview with the team that went well, where they asked about my experience and teamwork. The second interview felt rushed, and I couldn't give my best performance. I was also misled when I asked about micromanaging; the person I asked is indeed a micromanager and made things difficult. It would have been better for everyone if they had been honest, and I would have turned down the job. The Predictive Index isn't very accurate, but they use it as a benchmark.

After applying online, I was contacted by a recruiter who was really helpful with any questions. I first met with the hiring manager and HR. Then, I interviewed with two leaders and the CEO. The last interview with the CEO was informal, at a coffee shop, and it gave me a good sense of the company culture. It felt genuine and encouraging. After a long job search, this company felt different and I felt they really cared.
