Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
Registered Nurse
The interviewer was great and asked good questions. The time it took to get from the interview to an offer was too long though. The interviewer themselves was not the issue, it seems like HR might have been overloaded or short-staffed. They could probably improve the process.
- Could you tell me about your background?
- Describe how you would manage a specific scenario.
- Given a certain situation, would you choose to do A, B, or C?
Registered Nurse
It was pretty easy and fast. First, I had an interview, and if they decided to hire me, I met with HR. After that, the facility did a physical screening if it was needed. If any booster shots were required, I had the choice to get them at the facility.
- What motivated you to become a Registered Nurse, and can you share any prior healthcare experiences you possess?
Registered Nurse
I just walked in, filled out some paperwork, and then was interviewed by a nurse manager and a recruiter as part of a small group. They told me they'd let me know their decision afterward. That was it, and it only took about 20-25 minutes.
- Can you describe how you would assess and care for a patient with hypoglycemia?
