The first part was a 30-minute online chat with someone who is also a Research Assistant. They asked pretty standard stuff about working with others, my data analysis skills, and my past research, including an economic research project I’m doing and one I wasn't a fan of. The second round was way longer, about five hours total. It was broken up into interviews with Principals and Senior Research Assistants, each lasting 45 mins to an hour, with short breaks in between. These interviews really dug into my research history, how I handle datasets, and specifically how I make sure my work is accurate. There was also a case study that took an hour, which I thought was medium difficulty.

I had an online interview with someone from the US, which was mostly behavioral. I got an email response quickly after that. Then, I had 6 more interviews at the Sydney office, which were mainly case studies and questions about my CV and past experiences.

The interview process had one 30 minute chat with an analyst. The final round was 5 interviews, and one of them was a case study. Everyone was really nice though. You should plan to talk a lot about your research and explain everything you did.
