First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Boca Raton.
Executive Assistant
The interview process was light on questions. They focused on my past work experience and background, taking notes. They frequently asked if I had any further questions.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Pool Valet
The interview consisted of me talking about myself and then answering two questions: one about a time I gave great service, and another about a time I messed up and how I made it right. I didn't even talk to the people I'd be working for directly. Even though I didn't think my answers were that great, I still got the job.
- What is an instance where you delivered outstanding service?
Manager
It was a long interview process, but they ghosted me at the end, not even to say thank you for my time. It takes forever just to get an interview and then they ask for more than 3 interviews.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working at Boca?
Sous Chef
They invite everyone who applied regardless of qualifications. I went for the interview, which was probably the worst I ever had. They asked me to fill out an application even though I already applied on Indeed and sent my resume. Then they asked me to fill out a 'culinary test paper'. A woman in a chef coat approached me and told me she would interview me. She asked again if I had my resume and what restaurants I worked for. She looked at my resume on my phone for about 5 seconds and asked again what restaurants I worked for. She didn't even look at the 'culinary test paper'. Then she told me they didn't have any open sous-chef positions. The interview was over. I think they advertise for higher up positions and offer lower scale, or they are careful of their own job security to hire more experienced and skilled employees than they are. This place is a waste of time and effort.
- Could you tell me which restaurants you have worked for?
