First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Barnes Foundation.
Program Coordinator
I went through four rounds of virtual and onsite interviews for an entry level program coordinator position. Unfortunately, after weeks of no contact, I found out the recruiter had quit, making for a disappointing and disorganized experience.
- Can you tell me about the skills and experience you bring to this role?
Guest and Protection Services Associate
I was contacted by HR to set up a phone screen, which I did. When the interview time came, I didn't get a call. I emailed them 20 minutes later and they apologized, saying their meeting ran late, and asked if I could do it after 4 pm that day. I said yes and confirmed. I didn't get a call that time either, or any email or apology. They really disrespected my time, so I'm not interested in Barnes anymore. I figure bad management makes any job rough, so I wouldn't even bother applying to Barnes.

Executive Assistant
Had a really nice interview where I met a bunch of the team. We had some good chats about the role, what they expect, the company culture, benefits, and pay. Everyone seemed friendly and the office vibe was good. I enjoyed meeting everyone.
- Can you tell me about your relevant experience?
Public Relations Specialist
I applied online and had just one phone call before getting the offer. I had applied for both marketing and communications roles and interviewed with both teams before they offered me a communications position.
- Can you describe your past work experience?
