Research Specialist
The HR part of the interview process was good and efficient with clear communication. The interview itself was a panel with more than 7 people, which was a bit off-putting. From the interview, it seemed like the team members weren't very happy or engaged.
- What's your strategy for asking a coworker for help to get something done?
Intern
First, there's an HR screener. If you pass that, you'll have a behavioral interview. They'll ask about experiences that have shaped you. You should know their mission and values. It involved two interviewers who came and went.
- Can you explain how your academic studies have prepared you for this position?
Administrative Assistant
HR Manager emailed me about a phone screen, which I did. Then I had a second interview with the program manager, followed by a third interview with the VP and the team. In the final interview, there were three team members. They were unprofessional and one couldn't even speak English well. After the interview, they said I was qualified and they liked me. I waited two weeks with no word, so I emailed them about my status. Finally, they told me they had hired someone else.
- What motivated your application for this role?
Senior Associate
The interviews are usually an hour long and involve a panel where about 10 questions specific to the program are asked to everyone. If the panel interview goes well, you'll get to talk with the director of the unit or the VP of the Center. The second interview is pretty straightforward. Just avoid sounding arrogant or being too critical about philanthropy and entitlement.
- Can you share an instance where you persuaded someone using research or data?
- What are your views on philanthropy and entitlement?
