Project Manager
So basically, the recruiter reached out to me via email to set up a chat. I picked a time, and we had the call a few days later. They asked me about my past work. It was pretty chill, and the questions made sense. Then, the next day, they emailed back saying I wasn't moving forward for the role.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience, including the nature of the clients you've worked with (e.g., types of companies, national or international scope) and the methodologies you've followed?
Project Manager
So the interview process started with a meet and greet phone chat with Dominique, who was super responsive and really helped me out. Then I had a 45 minute meeting with the hiring manager, which was mostly behavioural/situational questions to get to know me better and for me to ask about Adaptavist and the role. After that, there was an assessment where I had to create a project plan based on a proposal, which was pass or fail. The final step was a peer panel interview with 3 team members, including the hiring manager, to check for fit and culture, and for me to present my project plan. Everyone was really welcoming!
- The majority of the questions were scenario/behavioural based, asking how I could relate back to an experience to answer the question.
- Some technical questions were also mixed in, more to understand my familiarity with various systems and tools.
Project Manager
I applied for the PM role and a few days later the interviewer scheduled an interview. The interviewer was super friendly. We talked about the company and its culture, and went through what is expected in the role. At the end of the interview, the interviewer explained the hiring process to me and told me she would let me know the following Monday if I was moving on to the next round of interviews. Monday comes and goes and I don’t hear from her. I send a follow-up email but receive no response. I send a second follow-up email the following week and still nothing. The interview itself was fine and got me excited about the role but not hearing back left a bad taste. I understand everyone is busy and they must be dealing with hundreds of applicants but the least you could do is send a generic rejection email or at least respond to a follow-up email.
- Can you describe your leadership style?
