First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thatcher Company.
Process Engineer
I went through a recruiter who said they would vouch for me. But I was misled about my chances of getting the job. The recruiter said I was in contention, but I didn't even get a second interview.
- What makes you a good fit?
Operations Engineer
They asked me about stuff on my resume. Like, could I talk more about a specific project or club or job I had? Also, some technical questions about the plant's facilities were included.
- Could you expand on this project and your knowledge of it?
- Tell me more about your involvement with this project.
Business Manager
Had a very friendly and straightforward meeting with a couple of their management. Didn’t work out mutually, but seem like a great company that takes care of their employees! We may be in touch in the future.
- Can you describe your experience with pastel and provide specific examples of your successes?
- Be prepared to share specific examples of successes from your experience/role.
Analytical Chemist
The interview process is quite long but it was a good experience overall. The first day involved some questions about my background and personality. The second day was more in-depth, focusing on my previous work experience and included a practical lab session to assess my skills in Titration (which is really important), as well as with equipment like the Autotitrator and ICP-OES. Towards the end of the second day, there was a problem-solving exercise, and I'd recommend brushing up on stoichiometry for it. Finally, there was an interview with some lab members. It was definitely a positive experience, though it took a lot of time and energy.
- Could you elaborate on your instrumentation experience?
- Can you describe your experience during your university studies?
