First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Texas Health Huguley Hospital.
Registered Nurse Team Leader
had a rigorous interview process with the director and manager. they asked several in-depth questions.
- What is your leadership style?
- Describe how you would handle conflicts among staff or with patients.
- What would you say are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
Lab Assistant
Phone interview with the recruiter. It was a very easygoing and quick process. The questions asked were easy to answer, nothing too extreme. The interviewer was pleasant to speak with and made the interview feel like a conversation was being held instead of an interrogation.
- Could you tell me about your experience with laboratory assistance?

I had a phone screening set up, but the person didn't show. After waiting about 30 minutes, I emailed them. They said they were held up in a meeting, which I get, but then when we rescheduled, they called about 10 minutes late. They didn't even apologize for being late. They asked about my current job and my education, which I found odd since I sent my resume and filled out the online form. Then they brought up salary, and the range was low with no room for negotiation. I'm not sure why they didn't start with that to save time. They mentioned being a faith-based organization, but it didn't feel warm or respectful. The interviewer seemed bored and was just reading a script. I suspect they might have preferred internal hires or referrals, especially since they mentioned 'rewarding' referrals. I wouldn't recommend applying unless you have an internal referral.
- Can you tell me about your current employer?
Social Worker
It took a couple weeks for the recruiter to get back to me. The interview questions were pretty easy, they asked about their EMR system, what their needs were, hours, etc. They also discussed the salary for the PRN position. I'm not sure why I wasn't selected since I'm more than qualified. I did notice a lack of diversity at the hospital, and I'm hoping that wasn't the reason I didn't get the job.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working here?
- What's your experience with the population we serve?
- Could you describe your current job roles?
