First , it was a phone call that lasted 30 minutes to an hour, and they drilled various questions. The second interview was a zoom meeting with a small board (2-3 people) (back in2021)

So I had this panel interview with 6 people in total. It was a mix of Forensic Scientist IIs, an HR person, my potential lab manager, and the Deputy Scientific Director who's in charge of all the Texas crime labs. Everyone except the Deputy Director asked me about 5 questions each. The questions were all over the place, covering why I wanted to work there, my science knowledge, personality stuff, and what I'd do in different situations.

I applied online and after about a month, I had a phone interview. It was a panel interview with 5 people, including the supervisor and other forensic scientists. The supervisor asked all the questions, and the others just listened in on the call. The interview was about 10 minutes long.
