First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Administrative Assistant
I got an email on Aug 21 asking if I was still interested, and I said yes. The next day, they sent another email with interview instructions, telling me to be "a minimum of 40 minutes" early and to bring some signed forms, including a notarized affidavit and 3 recommendation letters from supervisors. On Aug 27, I got there 40 mins early as told, but my interview wasn't until 1:30pm, and they didn't see me until then, so I think 15 mins early would've been fine. Two women interviewed me, the director and the supervisor for the role. They took turns asking questions. After it was done, I asked about notification timelines, and the director said she'd email on Friday. It's Sept 16 now, and I'm still waiting for an email that never came.
