Behavioral Case

It was very fast because it was through my network, but the company has since corrected its course and it's better now. At each stage, I would advise asking a lot of questions about the role, the work environment, and the autonomy given (because that's what's most lacking). Texaco is a very old company (American, formed from mergers and acquisitions) and hasn't integrated new technologies and the mentality that goes with it. Nevertheless, it's one of the few where a career is still possible!

I filled out an application, and the Manager looked at it real quick before I could even take it off. Then they asked me some questions right then and there. After they were done, they asked when I could start. Sometimes they say they'll call you back, but that usually means they won't. I started the next weekend.
