Behavioral Coding Technical

It started with a Recruiter Interview, then a gorilla test for the behavioral test, followed by a take-home assignment. After that, there were two technical-behavioral interviews with two Engineering Managers, and a Final Interview with the CTO. I was rejected after a lengthy chat with the CTO, with reasons stemming from the behavioral test, which was five steps back in the process.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with an HR/recruiter chat, then a Hiring Manager interview which was the first technical one. After that, there was a take-home assignment. I then had a second technical interview specifically about the take-home assignment and feedback on the task. Finally, I interviewed with the CTO. After all that, there was interview feedback.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The HR reached out first and really clarified the interview steps, answering all my questions. Then, I had a technical interview where they asked about my past work. They also touched on topics like TDD, focusing on understanding my comfort level rather than a single correct answer. After that, I got a programming assignment to complete in a remote coding setup. I wasn't totally familiar with the middleware, but managed to finish something within about 9 hours. The next step was a follow-up interview to discuss my solution, though it turned out not to be the ideal approach, and the process ended there. Surprisingly, after getting the rejection, I asked for feedback and received incredibly detailed input from the technical team. This level of feedback was unusual compared to other companies. I really appreciate TestLio for this, as it helped me get a job elsewhere. I'd rate their culture and support a 10/10. The interview itself felt like a friendly chat, not an interrogation. I had a great experience with TestLio.
