Testlio Engagement Manager Interview Questions
& Process

The process involved a series of interviews with various Testlio team members. First step, I was interviewed by the recruiter who did a fantastic job of introducing me to the role and gathering relevant information from me. The recruiter then proceeded to describe the upcoming steps. Following steps included an interview with Managers in the department which I applied, a request for a written submission based on a scenario presented and a mock client call with presentation. Once passed, you proceed to meet with the more senior team members. The recruiter remains in contact throughout the process and is available to respond to your queries via email or even have a Zoom meeting with you. Once you are successful in the interview process, you are invited to an offer call where the team presents to you all responsibilities and benefits of the position for your review. For my process, I was given the option to interview for another position that more closely related to my skills and personal career goals. This was a welcomed surprise and it showed that the interviewers and recruiter paid attention to me as an individual and were interested in placing me where my skills and desires would provide the most impact. Along this route, my interview process included a Director and C-suite level team members. Setting up interview times for each phase was a breeze. The recruiter often provided 3 to 5 available times for me to choose 2 or more from. Feedback was always timely and the recruiter would touch base often to ensure that I am comfortable with the process and fully understand what's coming next.

I got recruited via LinkedIn and had a recruiter screening call over the phone. Then there was a 1-hour Zoom interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had a take-home test that took about 1-2 hours to complete. The whole process wrapped up within 3 weeks.

The interview process was long but yet full of human interactions on both ends. It took a total of 6-8 steps for me. First, HR to cover company culture and get to know my background a bit more. Second, meet and greet with the hiring manager who vets if you may be a good fit to his team. Again, it's mostly value screening and not on hard skill. Third, a take-home assessment on engagement manager role. If you do have any experience on this role it should be something that you definitely find it reasonable to have this process. Fourth, a mock interview session with your HM and other teammates based on a scenario and the take-home assessment. If you are experienced with recommending testing strategies and have had engagement experience you should find it pretty natural as they do treat you like a teammate when they engage conversations. It was fun for me and sincerely hope your experience would be the same. Fifth, meet and greet with the Chief Client Officer. Personality, background and value fit again. Sixth, meet and greet with the CEO. Personality, background and value fits again. Every round I felt more energized and eager to get into the next round. Be yourself and believe the process would make you grow even if you do not get it. Everyone you encounter along the way you will find them charming and respectful to represent the values of the company.
