First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Testa Technologies.
Senior Research Scientist
It started with an HR screening, then there were three interviews. After those three, there was a panel interview. The first interview was with the hiring manager, then I had an interview with some cross-functional colleagues, and the final interview was with the hiring manager's boss.
- Could you start by telling me a few things about yourself?
Developer
The interview focused on advanced technical questions covering software architecture, modern frameworks, Docker, APIs, performance, and security. There was little room for discussing my background; the main focus was on evaluating practical skills and problem-solving abilities for real-world scenarios. The company is looking for autonomous, passionate individuals who can collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The offer is appealing, but it's important to stand out by highlighting personal projects, demonstrating rigor, showcasing a curious engineering mindset, and proving added value.
- Why are you applying to us?
Data Engineer
This role involves developing and managing data pipelines and ETL processes. You'll be building scalable data architectures and databases (SQL/NoSQL), ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts. A key part is optimizing data storage solutions, like data warehouses and data lakes.
- Can you explain the distinction between a data warehouse and a data lake?
Consultant (Pentester)
The interview process started with an initial interview, followed by a Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge, then a technical interview, and concluded with an interview with the hiring manager. Overall, the process was manageable and not overly challenging. I ultimately declined the offer as I had secured a better opportunity elsewhere.
