First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Test Company.
Sales Associate
We kicked things off with a bunch of online stuff. Had to do this online digital interview, then took an online exam using pi, and also a telephone interview. After all that, there was an in person interview.
- What's your ultimate goal?
Software Engineer
The interview process varies depending on the specific role, but we typically start with a phone or video call. Then, there's one or more in-person interviews, depending on the position. We ask a lot of technical questions and also assess your stress management skills – how and why. We also look at examples of customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction, including feedback. English proficiency is also assessed.
- What is your level of English proficiency?
Test Engineer
The interviewer was prompt and asked insightful questions that were easy to comprehend. The conversation covered fundamental aspects of testing and automation, focusing on practical, real-world applications, particularly with tools like Selenium and Tosca.
- Could you explain what software testing is and why it's important?
- Can you describe a real-world scenario where you applied testing or automation principles?
- How have you used Selenium in your testing experience?
Engineer
The hiring process involves a candidate presentation where team members assess the job seeker's contributions, skills, and personality. It's important to specify the presentation topic and set clear evaluation objectives for the team. Feedback should be gathered using a scorecard or a post-panel debrief. Adding extra steps to interviews can increase perceived difficulty but also prolong the hiring process, potentially causing delays and loss of candidates to competitors. Before implementing additional interview stages, employers should ensure they genuinely help identify strong candidates and don't just make the process harder without any real benefit.
- How would you collaborate with experienced individuals?
