Presentation Technical

After my resume got selected, I found out that Tescra was looking for someone with a core marketing background, not just digital marketing as I initially thought. The job description wasn't accurate and didn't match the real needs. Then, I had to create a big 90-minute presentation for the CEO about Tescra's marketing strategy. It was weird because Tescra started in 2002 but didn't seem to have much of an online presence, which I noticed during a check. Even though it was tough to prepare, I spent a lot of time and effort on a 57-slide presentation, even missing family time during Diwali to meet the Tuesday deadline. But, the hiring manager's colleague rejected it, saying it was late. This wasn't mentioned before, and HR actually said Wednesday was the deadline, which I met. The hiring manager's colleague, who has 20 years of experience in marketing, wouldn't even look at the presentation. This makes me question their marketing strategy and digital approach. It's frustrating to put in so much work and have it ignored without any heads-up. They put the job on hold without even interviewing me, even though they said they needed someone to start right away. It feels like the hiring manager's colleague just wanted to grab strategies without respecting the effort, which is a bad practice. This colleague seems to be looking for expertise in an area that wasn't around when he started his career, and his current methods show he might not be great with digital marketing. I really hope for more openness and fairness in hiring so candidates don't waste their time and energy. Better communication and professional courtesy would make a big difference.

I applied for the Content Writer role at TESCRA but a recruiter from ACHNET contacted me on LinkedIn for the same job. I guess this is because the CEO is the founder of both companies? I set up the interview, and then on the day of the interview, they called me to move it up by 30 minutes, and then another person called asking me to join the video call 10 minutes early. Two minutes into the call, they said they needed a writer with SAAS experience and were unsure how I got past their screening. It was a total waste of time for everyone.
