Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Terumo.
Director
It was a phone call, then a panel interview, and then a 1-on-1 interview, all together lasting about 5-6 hours. Several key leadership members were on the panel, with a couple of mid-level folks observing. It seems like solid candidates who expect to be leaders might want to skip this application, as the organization seems content with average performers and not looking for fresh ideas.
- What is your strategic, in-depth knowledge/subject matter expertise in the domain you are interviewing for?
Director
We started with a phone screen, then had an online interview. The person interviewing me knew a lot about the role. The online interview was an hour long. After that, I got invited for more interviews.
- What's your motivation for seeking a new job?
Senior Director
The interview process was very thorough and I enjoyed it overall. However, one interviewer was somewhat hostile, which I later learned from a former employee is characteristic of this individual. It seems Terumo has personnel issues.
