& Process

Had a casual chat. Then there was a thorough test for over an hour on C code and various technical questions. Afterward, an oral interview lasting an hour, which was quite tiring. I didn't like it much. There was this place once that I particularly didn't like.

I got an email describing the job, then I replied and we set up an interview. I spoke with the HR Coordinator and the Chief Sales Officer. They mentioned it's a new role they're creating and want to hire 20 inside sales reps total. They've hired teachers before but are looking for people with sales background. I took a personality test that day and they said they'd call me. Three days later, HR emailed me saying I passed to the next stage. I called HR for info and they told me the second interview would be on GoToMeeting. I made a PowerPoint to present and sell one of their products. Five days later, I presented it on webcam to the HR Coordinator, Chief Sales Coordinator, and Grant and Fundraising Manager.

It was 5 interviews. First was a phone call, then HR sent a test if I passed. After that, I had a phone interview with a manager. Then, I had an in person interview with 2-3 managers, one at a time. The last round was a presentation in front of 2 managers, where I was given the content and had a couple of days to prepare. They made their decision after the fifth round.

I saw a job ad on Craigslist and sent in my resume. After a few weeks, they contacted me for an interview. I mentioned that I was currently working as a receptionist and couldn't be too flexible with my interview times. They were totally fine with that! I ended up going in for an early morning interview before my work shift, and they offered me the job just 15 minutes later! They were also cool with my plan to give my two weeks' notice at my old job, and I started not long after.
