The recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. Initially, the interviews went well. I completed a thorough take-home assignment that felt more like a consulting project, possibly for company use. Then, I met with the hiring manager, followed by the VP and district manager. Despite assurances of an immediate hiring decision, the timeline was extended. I then had to meet with another department head, who suggested I might be a fit for a different role, requiring a two-week wait for further contact due to someone being on holiday. Two months after starting, I heard nothing. Then, over two months later, the recruiter emailed to schedule a call for the same day. I replied, and after a 6-hour delay, the recruiter called directly instead of scheduling. During the call, I learned the original role was eliminated, and no other positions were available. This entire experience was a significant waste of my time and skills.

So I applied and they first asked for a Zoom interview, which was pretty good, the host was engaging and friendly. Then they asked for a second stage interview where I had to prepare a 4-page presentation. If you knew your stuff, it wasn't too difficult but it took time and I only had 48 hours to hand it in. I didn't get to present it to them, just emailed it. I had to chase them after a week to find out what was happening. I got a response that felt automated - thanks but no thanks. I asked for more feedback and to maybe meet for coffee, but heard nothing back.

For one of the interview stages, I was tasked with creating a comprehensive 10-day global itinerary for a UHNW couple, including a full cost breakdown, to be presented as a PowerPoint. This take-home assignment, done without system access, took about a full day. When I presented it, it was rejected. The feedback received via email stated the itinerary was good, but the font and color choices were an issue, and that I hadn't included upgrade options, which was strange as upgrades are usually discussed in earlier stages, not the final itinerary. It's frustrating when interviewers assign a day's work only to reject it over minor aesthetic details that could have been easily adjusted, especially when the interviewers lack travel industry experience.

HR called me and we scheduled a phone interview for the next week. I had my phone interview in Spanish and English, and we talked briefly about the position. A few days later, HR gave me a mission to complete in 48 hours. After they received my mission, I had a face-to-face interview at 15:00 hrs. I arrived on time but waited about 25 minutes to be called in. The interview was very thorough and formal. I asked for more details about the position since I didn't get enough in the phone call. During the face-to-face, they told me the salary, but it was changed to a slightly lower amount later. When I was selected, HR told me the actual salary and benefits, which were a bit different from what I was told in the face-to-face interview. There was some confusion with the information provided.
