I got fast replies from the Head of Talent and People. The job description was really well-done by the company, which was nice. Both the description and the Head of Talent were clear about what they needed. The first interview felt easy and nice, like a natural chat that worked for both of us. It was easy to get info from both sides and felt personal. The questions were chill and some were just checks, but the whole thing went smoothly. I liked the interviewer's vibe. The second interview, I met the team. They seemed to match the vibe and atmosphere from the first interview. They were really consistent and communicated well. Even though production can be hectic, I saw how the team kept things moving and managed tasks; they were great! My questions got answered right away, and they had organized and effective ways to handle changes in workflow and timelines. This is the kind of team I like working with.

I had a video call with HR. It was awkward, and they couldn't answer my questions about benefits, which gave me a bad first impression. The interview with the hiring manager was way better and more professional. We seemed to connect, and they said they'd schedule a second interview. But after two weeks with no word, I contacted the HR person, and got no reply. I then reached out to the hiring manager, but still nothing. Ghosted. Ten Gun could do better. I'm a person who spent time applying, interviewing, and thinking about this job, not just a number. Even a quick message saying they picked someone else would have meant something.

Initial email communication was quick and welcoming. First MS Team meeting with recruiter was a little awkward, they repeatedly open mouth yawned which felt dismissive. I walked away from that meeting feeling like I was disqualified. To my surprise we set up a second meeting with the hiring manager and that meeting felt very welcoming, we walked away with an understanding that next steps would be to meet w/ either the team and/or the client. With the end of year closure coming up, I understood there'd be a little radio silence - once the new year kicked off we exchanged one check in communication suggesting they'd be in contact soon but I never received a follow up. I sent a final email about a month later and again, no response. No hard feelings if I wasn't the right fit, though it would have been nice to receive a message closing out the process. Even something automated like: Thank you for your time, we have decided to pursue other candidates for the position.
