First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Temu.
Legal Counsel
HR didn’t share the names or titles of the interviewers, making preparation difficult. The process includes a total of 4 rounds, and I've completed the first 2. They inquired about my background and reasons for transitioning in-house. I was also cautioned about the demanding work hours and asked how a cost center contributes to business growth.

Legal Counsel
I was contacted by HR about a possible job opening. It felt like they weren't sure what they needed yet, instead of trying to fill a specific spot. You should probably check if there's an actual approved role and a timeline before you spend too much time on this. The chat was nice but not very persuasive. The person seemed to know their stuff, but they didn't give a clear picture of the team's goals, the role itself, or where the company is headed. They didn't really explain why the work would be interesting or how the legal team was supposed to grow, making it hard to judge the leadership or how good the managers are. The conversation was mostly driven by me, with little info on priorities, team setup, or how decisions are made. So, it was tough to feel confident about the role or the people in charge. If you care about clear direction, engagement, and good management, you'll want to ask a lot of questions about these things.

Legal Counsel
I was approached by Temu recruiters twice. The first time, after several interviews, the recruiter invited me to another round but then ghosted me. I later found out she left the company without any handover. Months later, I was contacted again for a couple of interviews with senior staff. The legal team seemed knowledgeable and nice, but the recruiting team was poor as the recruiter ghosted me again. This seems to show the company's issues with strategy and planning, wasting the time of skilled professionals on interviews that go nowhere.
- Can you tell me about a difficult case you managed, including your actions and the outcome?
