Product Manager
It started with a phone call with HR, then an interview. A lot of questions were asked, but I was let down by the follow-up because I didn't get the job. I got a voicemail saying my application was unsuccessful and that I could call back for feedback. After calling back many times, I never got a call back about my application. My advice is, if you offer feedback as part of your process, you should actually return the applicants' calls.
- Can you tell us about your skills, experience, and what motivates you?
- Can you describe a time you used the CARE method, detailing the context, action, result, and evaluation?
Product Manager
I applied through Telstra Careers, submitting my CV and a cover letter explaining my suitability and how the role aligns with my career progression. The actual interview process was minimal, consisting mainly of a phone call to screen candidates.
- Could you tell me more about your CV and why you applied for this position to assess suitability?
Technical Product Manager
Round 1 was a phone interview with an HR person. They asked standard questions, mostly about how many years I've been in my roles, and we briefly talked about salary. Round 2 was with their project manager and hiring manager, and the questions were half technical and half behavioral.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience in relevant roles?
- Let's briefly discuss your salary expectations.
- How would you describe your knowledge of vendor products within network and cloud security?
