It was relaxing and comfortable. I enjoyed that we started off getting to know one another, then the process of questions, eye contact, and I loved the out of box questions, who is your best friend and what would they say is your pros and cons? What type of animal could you see yourself as? I really enjoyed those it brought a lot of character to the interview.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully met a member's objective during their call or branch visit?
- Describe your best friend and what they would identify as your strengths and weaknesses.
- If you could be an animal, which one would you choose to be and why?
Bank Teller
You start by applying online, where you should highlight your customer service or cash-handling skills on your resume. Then there's a phone interview, which is a quick screening to talk about your background and how you communicate. After that, you'll have an in-person interview with behavioral and situational questions to see if you're a good fit and how you solve problems. Finally, there's a background check that includes credit, criminal, and drug screening.
- How do you manage disagreements with colleagues?
Member Service Representative
So I started with a phone call with HR to talk about if I was a good fit and the job stuff, which I was good with, and then they sent me an online test. After that, I had another chat with the Branch manager for where I'd be working, and that seemed to go well. We mostly went over my past work experiences and how I could help the Branch hit its targets. The last phone chat felt the most challenging, with questions about how I'd handle certain situations and my general behavior. They did a background check after the third interview, and once that came back okay, they offered me the job.
- What are your thoughts on feedback?
Teller
The interview is one hour long, which feels like a lot of time since they also call you. The interviewers are nice. They focus on talking about work-life balance but also mention that the job requires working rotating Saturdays.
- Why do you want to work in banking?
