This was a disappointing interview process. They rushed things and the interviewer seemed unwelcoming to questions. I asked to see the contract and was glad I did because some things in it made me uncomfortable. The salary offered for a licensed professional counselor seemed a bit low. I didn't get a clear understanding of how the company operates. I'm glad I declined the offer.

As a business owner, Im used to doing the interviews rather than being interviewed but after deciding to semi-retire, I signed myself up for nearly two weeks of nonstop interviews trying to find out all my options to continue practicing remote and utilizing my clinical skills on a part time basis. This particular company was not even on my radar until noticed a message in LinkedIn from a Kristine asking if wanted to learn about it, which I did. So far I was only feeling “okay” with about 1-2 of the places I met with but I honestly wasn’t impressed by any. As matter of fact this was the first one to leave any positive impression on me and she did a phenomenal job at clearly articulating everything I needed to know. The entire thing was informative plus an enjoyable experience. She wasn’t rushed but did not go on and on forever either. I don’t know what they pay her but I bet it ain’t what she’s worth! Remember I say this after NINE other interviews, so I feel like I gained enough experience to form an accurate opinion in comparison to the others. Then learning of their involvement with military was added icing on the cake being that I am a veteran! I will be putting a few colleagues in touch with her in the coming days and I highly recommend to any therapist who is looking for a new opportunity to reach out to her and apply.

It was pretty straightforward. They wanted to see if I was a good fit and if I'd be interested in being an independent provider. I applied online and then the recruiter reached out. The interview was on Zoom with two people. One mostly just watched while the other did all the talking. They were informative, but one said something like "we don't want to be all up in your grill" which struck me as a bit unprofessional and made me realize this probably wasn't the right fit. Otherwise, the process was fine. I just wish the compensation was higher; I think 100-135k would mean seeing 10-12 clients a day, which is too many for me.

So, I was initially planning on working elsewhere and had even signed a contract. But, my colleague who referred me to Telemynd, gave me the contact info for her recruiter there and encouraged me to at least reach out. I didn’t see the point since I already accepted an offer, but she went on and on about meeting with her contact and now I’m so glad I did! Kristen was a dime and she was very helpful in a way that made the decision an easy one to make! easy. I wasn’t one bit conflicted about what to do and I’ve now joined Telemynd, afterall! Interestingly, I had already signed a contract with another company after evaluating many, but I was luckily able to cancel during the initial 24 hr window and then I ended up entering into a contract with Telemynd after-all! For more context, I had set aside 2 full days solely for interviews, with Telemynd being the 1st one. However, I received a short email stating Suzanne was canceling our interview, along with an invalid rescheduling link. There was no attempt made to try to accommodate me another time or get me back on her calendar at all, with the soonest option for self scheduling more than 2 wks out. Disappointed (and unimpressed) at this point, I decided to remove Telemynd from my list and move on. I interviewed with 8-10 companies and found one I was comfortable joining, so I signed a contract.
