Customer Service Assistant Manager
I found the job on CareerBuilder and submitted my resume. The next day, I got a call back for a short 5-minute phone screen to see if I was still interested. Then, they invited me to the office the following day for the first of three in-person interviews. I met with AJ (the Manager) for about 15 minutes. He asked general questions about my interest in customer service and my management background. I asked about hours and pay, but he said to wait for the next interview with an Account Manager. The next day, I had the second interview with the Account Manager. He explained the job details: it's door-to-door sales, calling it 'lead-to-lead'. You get paid for each person who signs up for internet service, and there's a weekly quota. It's a 50-60 hour work week, mostly spent in the field with your team knocking on doors. Top performers can move into a management track after a year. I mentioned I was concerned about the pay being 100% performance-based for at least the first year and the door-to-door sales aspect, but I wanted to finish the process. He passed me on to the final round. I immediately went back to the Manager's office and met with AJ again. I told him I was skeptical about the pay and thought the job was for a call center Assistant Manager based on the posting. He said I would be on a management track, but it depended on my field performance. I mentioned I had other interviews and would compare everything once I had all the details. He suggested I attend training the next morning and offered me the job. I considered it but decided against it because it wasn't a good fit.

Marketing Associate
The Interview Process was a bit different than usual. Overall, because this position is different than a standard marketing position. The Management Team has broken down the interviews into 3 brief ones. I really like this setup because through each interview, the Hiring Manager has the chance to get to know me from a different angle and I had the chance to ask as many questions as I wanted and I had the time to think through this position and the information laid on me during each interview.
- What are you seeking in your next role?
- Is a Corporate Management Position what you are aiming for?
Account Manager
I applied online and had my first interview with the hiring manager on the first day, followed by an interview with the assistant manager on the second day. There were three interviews in total. The people were friendly and I liked the vibe in the office. Everyone seems to really like each other.
- What motivates you?
Manager
The office was nice and in a good location. The atmosphere was good and the interview wasn't too bad. The questions were relatively easy, mostly asking about prior work experience and goals. Overall, it was a decent experience.

- What about your previous work experiences?
