Started with a recruiter chat, then a technical interview covering Splunk Enterprise Security and troubleshooting. The tech round had questions about data ingestion, finding detection gaps, and keeping the platform healthy. The last round was with leadership, talking about SOC experience, automation, and how you handle consulting deliveries. The whole thing moved fast, but it seemed more about whether there was a project than if there was a specific opening.

it's just an average interview of three rounds with a technical Splunk test in between. they take a while to decide on an offer and salary was low at the time, but it was the first MDR team.

My resume was initially sent for an Admin Assistant job via a personal referral. The EVP of Talent Management reached out to schedule a phone chat about the position. During the call, he inquired about my background, provided details on the role, answered my company-related questions, and mentioned he'd follow up. The next day, he called again, suggesting the Admin role might be too slow for me. However, he was impressed with my communication style and proposed an in-person interview for a Jr. Recruiter role on his team. I agreed, and he arranged a call with one of his recruiters to discuss the recruiting aspect and set up the in-person meeting. I received a calendar invite with directions. I arrived early for the interview, but they were running a bit behind, which they explained was due to the company's early stage and small team size. The EVP and the Director of Creative Talent Management interviewed me together and then separately. The entire conversation lasted about one to two hours, covering my experiences, stress management techniques, understanding of recruiting, and how my skills fit into talent management. I found both interviewers pleasant and appreciated seeing their different recruiting approaches. After some back-and-forth communication, I received a job offer about a week after the interview.

I went through a number of interviews with people higher up in the department. There were many friendly chats before they offered me a job. It felt really welcoming, like they wanted to know me and my knowledge of tech and software overall.
