A recruiter reached out about a sales role with a good OTE and asked for a quick chat. During the call, I was hit with a lot of questions about my career goals, about 20 of them. After a short while, the recruiter mentioned they'd email the job description instead of discussing it further. I felt it was a waste of time because the job didn't align with my background, and apparently, the recruiter only contacted me because their manager told them to. It seemed like they were just trying to hit a quota. I asked to have my info removed, but they seemed hesitant and suggested I just review the email and decide.

It was a straightforward process with 2 rounds. First, I spoke with company HR, and then with the Manager. They went over the TEEMA model and what they expected from the role. I also had the chance to ask questions. Because the job is purely commission-based, they made sure to be very clear about the compensation structure.

They also shared a lot of details about their commission setup, which is 100% commission, and what that means for someone just starting out. The interviewer was really easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable.
