First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Teekay.
Human Resources Manager
It was a three step process, with two telephone calls and then a final in-person interview in Vancouver. There was some delay with immigration paperwork, but it was worth the wait. The company assisted with the transition, and we were pleased with the overall experience.
- What motivates your interest in working at Teekay?
Accountant
first i had an in person interview with a recruiting agency. then i did a phone interview with the in house HR team, followed by an in person interview with HR and two accounting managers. the final interview was with the controller. all the in house interviews happened within the same week.
- What's your strategy for handling a new learning curve?
- What makes you want this job?
Sales Associate
The whole hiring process took three weeks which felt too long. I had interviews with three different managers, and then I met with the Vice President. They seemed to really like me, but they were very strict about the requirements for the role. It seems like a nice company, they just didn't think I was the right fit.
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
- Have you completed your graduation?
Marine Engineer Cadet
I had an interview with the manning agent first, and then a second one with Teekay. The Teekay interview was with the Glasgow office folks, and it was really smooth, calm, and insightful. I liked the Teekay interview way more than the BP one.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Why do you want a career in LNG?
- What's your perspective on mental awareness at sea?
