First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ted's Montana Grill.
Bartender
I was called in to talk with the manager and then I was invited back for another interview soon after. After that second chat, I got the job offer and was hired.
- What's your knowledge of bourbon?
Bartender
The interview process was interesting. the interviewer didn't seem to like me but brought me back. I interviewed with a new person and they seemed to like me. I ended up getting the job.
- What is your knowledge of bourbon?
- How long have you been a bartender?
- What is your preferred cocktail to make?
Sales Associate
The hiring process was pretty chill. I had to chase them a few times to get things moving, but since I had a referral, setting up the interview was a breeze. When I got there, I had a margarita while waiting for the manager, then we had a nice, professional chat. They have a pretty good training setup with classes, tests, online learning, and hands-on training shifts with good trainers. They were super flexible about scheduling and work times.
- What is your previous experience?
- Can you tell me about your hobbies?
- How flexible are you with your schedule?
Server
We had a standard chat where we talked about your past server/restaurant experience. We also went over your willingness to learn other roles like bartender, and your schedule availability. Managers are looking for some excitement about the brand and want to see if you fit with our core values.
- Can you tell me about your prior experience in restaurants?
- Are you open to learning different roles within the establishment, like bartending?
- What are your general availability constraints?
