This is for a corporate software engineering role. First, there was a remote video call with the hiring manager where they asked standard questions and explained the business. After that, I had an in-person team interview where different team members asked questions and there was a non-technical whiteboarding problem.

Applied online, recruiter reached out a few weeks later for a screening and then another interview with the two hiring managers. Was told I would hear back later that week to schedule an onsite technical interview but never did. Reached out to the recruiter for an update and got ghosted.

Technical Behavioral

There are three interviews you will go through: one with a peer, one with the technical lead, and one with the GM. The process is pretty straightforward and focuses on your fit, potential, and motivation for the role. Just a heads up, the timeline can be a bit long because of contract manning requirements, when you can actually start, and the onboarding process. Make sure you have your priorities straight before you even start this, as it'll help you figure out if this opportunity is really worth your time.

The interview process involved a phone screen, then a panel interview, followed by a one-on-one with someone in a similar role. It took about 6 weeks from the initial call to get an offer. Everyone was friendly and inviting. But once it got to the offer, all the red flags appeared. Double check the fair market value for base salary. Company offer is incredibly low and does not match online sources. Do not confuse base salary for total compensation package.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you give a general walk through of your resume and ask for more details about your experience?
