First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Technipower.
Recruiter
A manager called me late one afternoon, and I called him back the next morning. He was a bit annoyed that I didn't get back to him sooner, which I thought was weird. The call was basically him asking a question, me answering, him pausing, asking the same question again, and me answering again but worded differently. Then he'd ask it a third time and tell me off. It was just a really strange experience. I never heard from them after that.
- He asked me why I wanted to work at the company three times.
- He asked me what valuable skill I thought would make me successful in the role.
Account Manager
I first talked to the Operations Manager on the phone and then they invited me to their office for an in-person interview. I met with the Operations Manager again and then also met with one of the Senior Managers.
- Why are you interested in sales?
- Do you have prior sales experience?
- What led to your success in previous roles?
Architectural Drafter
First, there was a screening interview with a recruiter who reviewed my resume and asked about my experience. I was asked to send over my portfolio. Then, someone else from recruiting called me back, but unfortunately, I didn't move forward because I confirmed with them that the job required software skills I don't have.
- How many years of experience do you have with the software used in previous roles?
Administrative Assistant
There were three rounds of interviews in total. The first two were done online, and the last one was in person. They asked really basic questions about my experience and what was on my resume. Honestly, the whole interview process felt pretty intense for a part-time job that only pays $16 an hour.
- Do you prefer a routine and predictable work environment, or one that is more dynamic?
