I first got a call from HR to see if I was interested, which was a really nice chat and gave me a good feel for the company culture. After that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, I spoke with the VP of Ops over the phone. I ended up withdrawing my application because I wanted to stay closer to home at that time. My research on Enpro and this division, plus my interactions with the staff, left me with a very positive impression. They seem like a great company that really focuses on employee development.

First, I had a phone chat with an HR manager from Enpro. Then, a week later, I interviewed with the hiring manager and HR from Technetics. After that, I had to give references from my last 3 managers and peers and do a general behavioral test. Another week passed, and I had my third interview with a panel of 5 people. It's been 45 days, and after a lot of following up, I haven't received an offer.

Technical Behavioral Case

The interviewers were from the relevant department and checked my education and technical skills. They presented me with hypothetical situations requiring fast responses to gauge my crisis-management abilities. This involved inter-departmental conflicts where management was involved. They also asked me to detail past projects, with parts of my descriptions being cross-examined.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Imagine a high-spec product narrowly failed a routine test just before a small shipment. Investigation shows this defect, caused by a minor production change, has been ongoing for months and was hidden because it passed general specs but not the client's. The product isn't health-related and there are no client complaints. What's your course of action?
