Software Engineer
I applied online and the whole thing took about a week. After they did an initial phone screen, they called me in for an onsite interview at TCS Hyderabad. Honestly, only go for this if you're really out of options. The actual interview is short, like 20-30 minutes, but they'll have you waiting around for most of the day. They usually call around 10 AM and you might get called in by 12 PM. It felt like a total waste of time and energy. I couldn't find any pros, so seriously consider this only if you have no other choices. As for cons, the package isn't great, and they're really vague about the job description. They also keep pushing you to come for the interview and will repeatedly check if you've reached the venue, which is just annoying. My advice to the management is to be clear about the job you're hiring for, offer a decent package, and have a firm idea of who you want to hire and for what role. Don't try to fit the candidate to the job description; do it the other way around – find a candidate that fits the job.

Basically, the interview had two technical rounds and a manager round, and then an HR round. I only got to do the first technical round (they called it L1), but I didn't make it past that to the other stages.
- Regarding ad performance, what method would you choose for query optimization?
- Could you explain the concepts of cluster and non-cluster indexing?
- What's the difference between lazy and batch processing in Spring Boot?

I was contacted via my Naukri Profile. I went through technical and HR rounds. After assessment, I got the interview result. I was selected and given an offer of employment. I worked there for over 3 years.
