First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tealium.
Solutions Consultant
It was a pretty standard interview for this type of role. I had an HR screening, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by a second interview with a senior team member. After that was the technical interview where they asked a lot of industry and capability questions, not really focusing on coding languages. I didn't get to the presentation round.
- Can you explain what vector databases are?
Technical Trainer
First, you'll chat with the Recruiter. Then, you'll meet the Hiring Manager to go over your background and interest in the role. They'll want to see how you explain a technical concept, how you design and improve training, etc. After that, there's a Panel Interview where they'll focus on how you work with teammates, escalate issues, and pull in other departments. Lastly, you'll do a Presentation on Tealium to the Panel. For this, you'll need to research Tealium and design a presentation that explains its value and how the tech works.

Sales
First, I spoke with a Tealium recruiter who gave me some materials to prepare for a presentation to the managing team. The initial interview was with the hiring manager, and it felt pretty informal. Then, I had a panel interview where I had to give a high-level overview of Tealium. I noticed the interviewers were all white men, and there weren't any women or people of color, which made me think about the diversity in the office. In the end, they hired another white person for the position.

Data Scientist
I applied online and then a recruiter called me pretty quick for a quick chat. They then set up a call with the hiring manager later that week. That conversation was more technical, but it was pretty laid back and not too intense if you know your stuff. After that, I got a take-home task that was really relevant to the kind of data science problems the company deals with, so it was tough but fun to do. The next week, I went in for 4 interviews. The first 3 were with 2 people each, either from the data science team or who work closely with them. There was a technical interview with whiteboard questions, a detailed discussion about machine learning architecture, and another round focused on business issues and how data science can help solve them at Tealium. The final round was a panel presentation where they asked questions about the project I did, my ideas, and what I thought. Overall, the whole interview process was super fast, and everyone was really friendly and engaging. I heard back about an offer two weeks after the onsite.
