Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Teach for America.
Campaign Coordinator
It was a pretty long interview process with lots of stages. Started with a Skype call, then I had to fill out an online application and get recommendations, and after that, there was a phone interview. The whole thing took about three weeks.
- Can you practice a presentation for a student organization?
Campaign Coordinator
I was initially contacted by a campus recruiter who thought I’d be a good fit for the role, even though I didn’t apply. A couple weeks later, they asked me to interview. The interview itself was over the phone and included two managers and one current campus campaign coordinator.
- How would you analyze trends in data?
- How would you go about pitching TFA to a student?
- Can you share your personal experience with diversity?
Campaign Coordinator
The interview process was super fast and simple. Since it was basically an internship for students, they only asked a few basic questions. I got the job offer the very next day and stayed in the role for two years.
- What makes you want this job?
