Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Teach for America.
Intern
We had a zoom interview, and I had to give a five-minute presentation on TFA to the manager. I also got to interact with the manager and ask some questions. There was some prep time before and feedback afterward.
- Can you tell me what you know about TFA?
Fellow
The interview process for the Ignite fellowship at Teach For America was pretty straightforward. Instead of a traditional interview, we were given a few prompts and had to submit video responses.
- Describe your teaching style.
Intern
It was pretty easy, mostly written. No formal process really. You just have to elaborate as much as you can on why teaching is for you, etc. The recruitment process is long, but it's worth it.
- Can you introduce yourself and elaborate further?
