We had a quick intro call to see if we both were interested in the role. Then there was a technical round where they really dug into my technical skills, how I solve problems, and my coding ability, using live coding and design challenges. Finally, I got an HR email with the offer details.

The interview started with HR and then moved to the technical department. It felt a bit unprofessional, like they were rushing me through the answers and didn't really want to have the conversation.

The entire interview was great. The IT Director and Coordinator made me feel very comfortable, and we talked a lot about technology. Virtualization, firewalling, network segmentation... The whole process was very interesting, and all the professionals I met there were amazing.

Technical Presentation Other

The interview process was very uncomfortable and stressful, even demotivating. It consisted of two rounds, both primarily technical. The first round was virtual and seemed okay, focusing solely on technical questions without any behavioral or organizational aspects. The second round was on-site in Berlin. During this onsite interview, I was given a sensor to assemble and had to document the assembly process steps and determine the cycle time for each step. After that, I was given an assignment to complete and submit within four days. Despite investing time to finish and submit the assignment, I received a rejection a few days later. The manager, after looking at my resume, remarked that I lacked specialized experience, which was disheartening after a one-hour interview and an onsite visit. Only one head of department was involved. There were no pleasant conversations or professional behavior; sarcastic remarks were made when I couldn't answer certain questions, which was quite demotivating. I never expected such treatment from someone in a respected position. Fortunately, the HR person was much better, mostly motivating and encouraging.
