The interviewers were all really professional and accommodating. They even switched my in-person interview to an online one because of bad weather and suggested a closer location for the same job. The interview questions focused mainly on my resume and behavioral situations common for this kind of role. Sadly, I only found out I didn't get the job after I reached out to my recruiter for an update. Please don't ghost applicants in the future.

It took a few weeks after applying. First there was a phone screen, then an initial interview, followed by a second interview with people who were meant to be in the first one. The interview process really zeroes in on WHO YOU ARE, and if you'd be a good addition to the team from a personality standpoint. They want to know if you'll fit the environment. Of course, credentials and experience matter too, but they're open to training folks who might not have the 'preferred' qualifications if they show the eagerness and enthusiasm needed for the company's success.

Behavioral Group

The interview process was a bit weird and confusing. There were two people in the room, but I later found out one was just there to observe and didn't actually ask any questions. I took the initiative to ask questions to get them both involved, which kind of changed the dynamic. Was it effective? Maybe, because it allowed me to show off my interpersonal skills, which might have made me stand out. I wasn't really sold on the company until I got a follow-up call and an offer with benefits that made up for the disorganized interview. Turns out, they didn't even have a talent acquisition department at the time, so don't let this discourage you! The TA team is actually great now, and the benefits are even better.

I applied for a VDC Summer Internship and had a phone interview on a Friday. The recruiter said I'd hear back by the following Friday, but two weeks passed with no word. I emailed their careers address and was told all intern positions were filled. This recruiting process is not good. As a college student, this company wasted my time and energy by not telling me directly that I wasn't selected. Letting candidates know they aren't being considered is part of recruiting, and it's embarrassing for a company this size not to provide that info.
