This was a really weird interview process. I had multiple calls with the recruiter, starting with a standard one, then they offered "prep calls" before each subsequent round. Even though I'm pretty experienced, I took them up on those calls. After a "culture fit" interview, they rejected me but told me to watch their careers page. If I didn't pass their odd culture interview (with no feedback given), how would I be qualified for the next role? One interviewer even stayed 20 minutes late to keep talking because the conversation was going well, so I'm left confused about what went wrong. On top of that, they wouldn't share their salary range when I asked, and after I finally gave a broad range, they said they were still deciding on it. It felt like they were using interviews to figure out salary ranges, which is a bad practice. So, take their claims of a "great culture" with a huge grain of salt, because their candidate treatment is the opposite of "great culture."

I applied online and had an internal reference. The recruiter called me, and we had a phone chat. Then I talked to the hiring manager, and it was pretty chill, mostly discussing tech stacks. A few days later, I got an email saying they were moving forward with someone else. I heard from an executive that the company posts fake jobs and doesn't hire anyone. It seems true because another job with the same description opened up after I was rejected called 'Developer Productivity Platform Engineer'.

The interview had three parts. First, an intro call, then a technical round, and finally a cultural interview. It wasn't too bad overall, and they respond pretty quickly. The questions weren't very difficult and it felt respectful. The culture felt great.
