Their process is modern and cool. They use HireVue for the initial interview, which I think is cool. I wish they'd be more transparent about the product and service they provide. You get the feeling you're joining some cutting-edge organization, but actually, you'll be marketing Directv in stores.

The interview process was straightforward and engaging. I started with a 15-minute chat with the company president, where we touched upon the company's values, objectives, and future direction. I also briefly shared my career aspirations. For the second interview, I met with current team members to get a real feel for a typical workday, which gave me a clear picture of the expectations. I was really impressed by the team's professionalism, their drive, and the overall office vibe. The final stage involved meeting the office manager to discuss my potential fit within the organization. I was also asked to send an email summarizing why I'd be a great asset to the company.

The people are great. You'll get a text first, which I admit was strange for me to get a text from an employer wanting to set up an interview. After a few texts back and forth, they will set up a date. The interview was short, the office was very upbeat and staff was personable. I learned the valuable and distinguishing difference between direct and indirect marketing. I personally don't consider direct marketing to be a fit for me. If doing marketing, I'd like it to be traditional marketing, such as commercials, radio/TV ads, etc. You can build your own business, but be ready for long days and lots of commuting, and waiting for a reliable source of income. If you're one of those folks who has been successful with cold network marketing, you should do very well. The opportunity does exist.

It was a pretty straightforward three-part interview process. I started with a quick chat with the HR manager, and then got invited for a preliminary interview that was super short, like 10 minutes. After that, I was brought back for the second round where I actually got to meet my potential coworkers and see what a typical day would be like. The third round was a follow-up phone call, and that's when they gave me the official offer.
