HR Business Partner
After submitting an application, I went through two interviews. First, I spoke with the TA Manager, and then with the Director of HRBP’s. I was told I would be interviewing with the HRBP, but after not hearing back for two weeks, I reached out. Unfortunately, I was ghosted by both the TA Manager and the Director. There was no automatic email sent.
- Describe how you would counsel a leader whose manager has great sales figures but persistently low engagement scores, particularly when that leader considers the manager to be a high performer.
Learning and Development Manager
It was a straightforward process. They asked good questions that prompted reflection on my experience and had relevant discussions about my skills. They also used scenario-based questions to assess how my skills aligned with the job requirements.
- Can you share your experience with us?
- How do your skills align with the job description based on hypothetical scenarios?
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
The hiring process took about 3 weeks to a month to get the job offer. It was pretty average to easy. They let me choose things like salary, position, and role. The job description mentioned customer service, loyalty, commitment, being hard working, flexible, salaried, customer service oriented, approachable, and having time management skills.
- Can you describe your analytical skills?
- How do you approach problem-solving?
- Tell me about a time you had to make difficult choices.
Data Modeler
I was contacted by a staffing agency about this role that needed someone with a blend of business analyst, business intelligence analyst, and agile experience, plus scrum master skills. They were looking for someone highly technical, not just SQL-savvy, but who had actually used a BI tool. The first interview was with a Senior Business Intelligence Manager. Apparently, he wanted to replace a female Indian employee on his team because she spoke another language with her team members, which is pretty messed up. This manager had a really racist vibe, even though he's from a group that's faced oppression here. He was showing a clear racist attitude towards Indian candidates for this job. The phone interview, scheduled for Friday at 4:30 PM EST, didn't happen on time. I had to contact the staffing agency, and after they reminded him, he finally called 45 minutes late. He then started firing questions at me super fast, not even letting me finish answering the previous one. For the face-to-face interview, which was supposed to be 30 minutes, the manager didn't even show up for the first 20 minutes. During that time, I had a much nicer conversation with one of his team members, a solution architect, who explained what the role entailed. When the manager finally walked in, after we greeted and shook hands, he immediately sanitized his hands right in front of me, which was quite shocking.
- Explain why your previous company let you go, given your qualifications.
- Did you use JIRA?
- Can you explain the difference between metrics, measures, and KPIs?
