First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Taylor-Guitars.
Accounting Intern
Got a call from the recruiter the day after applying online. Then they emailed me to set up a video chat. After that, I had an in-person interview at their office with the controller.
- Could you tell me about your greatest strength?
Production
The offices and store were very nice. The interviewers were kind and funny, but the interview was a bit more in-depth than I expected for a production line job, seeming more professional, like for an HR manager position. Overall, I would recommend it. They're mostly looking for you to be friendly enough with peers but also able to keep to yourself to complete the task at hand.
- Tell me about a time you worked on a group project. Do you work well in a group environment?
Graphic Designer
I had some initial phone chats with the HR recruiter. Then I went in person to interview with the Head of Marketing and the Marketing Manager. It was a good experience where I showed my work and talked through my portfolio.
- Can you tell me about your experience designing for marketing teams?
Web Designer
I found the job online and heard back in a few days for a phone interview. The Recruiting Manager was really nice and made things easy. Then, I came in for about an hour-long interview with my potential manager, who asked some really good questions about my experience and passion for my work. The next week, I met with a few more managers, and then they called me with an offer a couple of days later. They wouldn't negotiate salary, but their benefits were great compared to my old job, and I liked the idea of working for a unique company.
